Three Black Belt Options to Fit Any Type of Business Environment

Six Sigma Qualtec offers three different black belt programs to focus participants on the tools most important to your type of business, Manufacturing, Services and Transactional Black Belt, because each type of business enironment has a specific set of processes and customer requirements.

Black Belt Certification takes candidates through a proven, step-by-step training course based on the transfer of knowledge and process skills that lead to improved customer satisfaction, increased profit margins, shortened cycle times and reduced costs. Courses are designed to include sophisticated adult learning theory and no-nonsense evaluation of learning success, while constructing the framework for true cultural change within an organization.

Six Sigma Qualtec's Black Belt training consists of five phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) in which candidates follow a Plan-Train-Apply-Support-Review model. During each phase, a candidate receives one week of training followed by four weeks of knowledge application on a project at the candidate's business location. The candidate works on the same project throughout the five phases. Upon the completion of the training, the Black Belt not only has developed superior problem-solving skills that can be applied on problems at the company, but has also completed a project that yields significant bottomline savings.

Typically, the entire Black Belt training investment can be justified by results from the first project. The median return on each Qualtec trained Black Belt is $100,000 per project.

Manufacturing Black Belt

The manufacturing environment requires specific technical problem solving and analytical tools. The Black Belt is a key change agent for the Six Sigma process. Typically the "best of the best," these individuals lead teams working on chronic issues that are negatively impacting the company’s performance. The Black Belt is usually assigned to a two-year dedicated position responsible for executing the Six Sigma process on selected projects.
